About Laura

Laura Welles Adell

Laura Welles Adell is an attorney specializing in estate planning, probate and trust administration. She is very dedicated to her clients and their needs and she prides herself on the personal one-on-one service she provides.

Laura prepares revocable living trusts, wills, and durable powers of attorney for health care and asset management. She works closely with her clients to tailor these documents to meet their personal and financial needs so they can rest assured that they have taken care of themselves and their loved ones.

Laura also represents trustees and administrators. Administering a trust or estate can feel overwhelming, especially after having suffered the death of a loved one. Laura is both professional and compassionate in helping her clients navigate the personal and fiduciary challenges associated with the administration of trusts and estates. In matters where there is a third-party fiduciary, Laura helps beneficiaries protect their respective interests.

Before forming Adell Law Offices in 2003, Laura had the distinct privilege of working as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew on the United States District Court. Following her clerkship, Laura worked for five years as an Associate in a top-ranked Los Angeles law firm, handling high profile corporate litigation matters in such areas as copyright infringement, breach of contract, pharmaceutical product liability, and hazardous waste cleanup (CERCLA). While she enjoyed the challenges of corporate litigation, Laura grew tired of the impersonal nature of that specialty. She longed for a more rewarding practice where she could work with her clients on a more personal level. She found that in her current work.

Laura graduated magna cum laude (top 5%) from Southwestern University School of Law in 1997, and she received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
