Meet laura

Laura Welles Adell founded Adell Law Offices in 2003 with the goal of providing thoughtful, compassionate, and sound legal guidance in an area of law that directly impacts people's lives, families, and futures. She wanted to build a practice where she could develop meaningful relationships with clients and serve as a steady source of guidance during times when legal decisions often carry significant personal and emotional weight. She is known for her one-on-one approach and for taking the time to truly understand each client’s family, goals, and concerns.
Laura grew up in Topanga Canyon in a large, close-knit family, an experience that shaped her deep appreciation for family connection, harmony, and being present during meaningful moments in life. That foundation continues to influence her work today. She is committed to helping individuals and families find clarity, security, peace of mind, and constructive solutions that preserve relationships and reduce unnecessary conflict, particularly during times of uncertainty or transition.
Before turning her focus to trusts and estates and forming Adell Law Offices, Laura served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew on the United States District Court, followed by several years as an associate at a top-ranked Los Angeles law firm handling complex litigation matters, including copyright infringement, breach of contract, pharmaceutical product liability, and environmental litigation. While she valued the rigor of that work, she ultimately chose to build a more personal practice where she could help her clients address real-life concerns and give them the confidence and peace of mind that comes with having a trusted advisor on their side.
Laura graduated magna cum laude from Southwestern University School of Law and received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
She lives in Woodland Hills with her partner, Zack. Their blended family includes four young adult children, along with a dog and a cat. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, skiing, hiking, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
